Nature has always been the greatest teacher, and Monish Siripurapu listens carefully. An ‘antrepreneur’ – a term that combines architect and entrepreneur – Monish has spent his career crafting magic where Art, Nature, and Technology converge. A graduate of the School of Planning and Architecture (SPA) Delhi, and founder of Ant Studio and CoolAnt, he turns ancient wisdom into futuristic, living solutions. His journey is an inspiring dance between creativity, sustainability, and the quest to build not just structures, but a legacy of ecological mindfulness.

“It is our choices that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities,” said Dumbledore - and Monish Siripurapu seems to live by this ideology. His choices are led by innovation, empathy, and a deep reverence for nature. With an imagination that’s part wild, part wise, and a heart rooted in tradition, Monish blurs the line between architect, inventor, and environmentalist. He is the true "Chief Ant" - a romantic, a foodie, a dreamer, and a restless creator, always dreaming up ways to craft a more sustainable tomorrow.

Through CoolAnt, Monish is revolutionizing climate-responsive architecture. His projects from Cooling Cacti to nature-based facades have won national and international acclaim. Recognized by platforms like Shark Tank India, UNEP, G20 Summit (Bali), and featured by CNN, History Channel, and the World Economic Forum, his designs are storytelling devices, bridging the past and the future.

At Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, Ahmedabad, Cooling Cacti stands not just as an installation, but as a symbol of resilient design. Drawing inspiration

from desert cacti that survive in the harshest environments, Monish reimagines nature’s survival strategies into a cooling system that is low energy, low-maintenance, and visually stunning. Crafted from terracotta and framed in steel, Cooling Cacti combines traditional Indian materials with contemporary design. The porous terracotta tiles, shaped like abstract cacti, absorb circulating water. As the water evaporates, it draws heat from the surroundings, effectively lowering ambient temperatures without the

heavy energy costs of mechanical air conditioning. Integrated fans further enhance the airflow and cooling efficiency.
