Award-winning artist Bharti Prajapati was born in 1962, in Vadodara, Gujarat. Having studied textile design at Sophia Polytechnic, Mumbai and the National Institute of Design (NID) Ahmedabad, she worked as a textile designer for 10 years. Later returning to explore her long-time passion – painting – Prajapati’s work has strong philosophical overtones.

Ankon Mitra, architect and sculptor, has redefined design through the art of folding. A pioneer of ‘Oritecture’—a fusion of origami and architecture—his work explores the transformative potential of folds in space and structure. With accolades including the All-India Gold Medal for Sculpture (2018) and the Lexus Design Award for Craft Design (2020), his sculptures and installations have been showcased in 18 countries and are part of esteemed public and private collections. His vision of a universe continuously forming and dissolving through folding is at the core of his artistic and architectural explorations.

Rekha Rodwittiya is an acclaimed artist, curator, and educator from the Baroda school of art. Over the five decades of her career, she has participated in multiple solo exhibitions and group shows worldwide, with her works exhibited in cities such as London, New York, Stockholm, São Paulo, and Venice. Along with an unapologetically feminist mindset, Rodwittiya’s creations are seen to redefine the representation of the female figure in art.

Born in Mumbai, living in New York; trained as a sculptor and an architect, Tarik Currimbhoy has crafted an indelible legacy in the world of contemporary art. Known for his minimalist sculptures that strike a balance of purity and its essence, Currimbhoy’s work invites viewers into a reflective exploration of intellectual lucidity. His creative journey, marked by sincere undertones, is a testament to the art of restraint and timelessness. Currimbhoy displays his sculptures in Hong Kong, India, in Dubai with Bernard Vinet, in London at Christie's with Jeff Koons, and in USA with Anish Kapoor at Sotheby's. He also participates in 10 art fairs per year through Long-Sharp, Akara and Leila Heller.

A portmanteau of the words house and museum, ‘houseum’ in Ahmedabad is a collection of locks, clocks and puzzles lovingly curated by Dr. Hiren Shah, and creatively displayed by his wife Dr. Namita Shah. Houseum as it stands today, has on display a splendid collection of 10,000 plus rare antiques as well as contemporary artworks by artists like Amit Ambalal, M. F. Hussain, and S. H. Raza.
